Camguard?

Do people think there is any real evidence this works?
In my experience it depends on what you are using it for. For aircraft that fly regularly over the year I find there is not much benefit outside using the recommended oils and following the recommended oil system servicing procedures.

However, for aircraft that do not fly regularly or sit idle for extended periods, Camguard offers a realistic alternative to OEM engine use/preservation requirements. Basically, it offers a version of flyable storage that the OEM preservations oils cannot.

On the anti-wear side, I’ve seen nothing that moves me to recommend it for that reason. But for the anti-corrosion side, yes I would recommend it within reason.

Keep in mind the guy who formulated CamGuard is the same guy who formulated CorrosionX. Which in my opinion and experience is the best stuff out there for preventing corrosion. I personally think of Camguard as CorrX for an engine as they share similar formulas.
